Man awaiting second kidney transplant seeking South Asian donor to save his life
Ben Jackson on BBC Radio LeicesterAvailable for over a year
Paulo Calane from Thurmaston has been living with kidney problems almost all of his life. He underwent a kidney transplant at the age of nine. His new kidney has now failed and Paulo is now in the same situation, almost 20 years later, needing another donation to keep him alive. It's really quite serious he's in hospital receiving treatment, in the hope that a kidney can be found - but because of his ethnicity, the donor ideally needs to be someone from a South Asian background.
