Regeneration of Jewry Wall Museum well underway

Jimmy Carpenter

Available for over a year

It's promising to be the next big thing in Leicester's tourist offer. A £15.5 million regeneration of the Jewry Wall Museum is now well underway, next to St Nicholas Circle in central Leicester. The new museum promises to bring to life the stories of everyday life in Roman Leicester - and show how the ruins next to it were once the heart and soul of the town. But right now it's very much a work in progress. City Mayor Sir Peter Soulsby has been showing BBC Radio Leicester's reporter Tim Parker and some city councillors around the site.
