Leicester student's portraits of great-grandparents recognised by The Royal Academy of Arts
Ben Jackson on BBC Radio LeicesterAvailable for over a year
Leicester is well known as the starting place for now globally recognisable names. And that tradition isn't slowing down as a year 11 student from Beauchamp College has been recognised in a show by the Royal Academy of Arts. Now in its third year, the Young Artists’ Summer Show is an exhibition for students aged 5 - 19. And Jobe Gordon made it into this year's show after submitting portraits of two of his great-grandparents. Jobe, and his mum Claire, told Ben Jackson why he created this artwork.
