Over a million Covid-19 vaccinations have been given in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Mayur Lakhani from West Leicestershire Clinical Commissioning Group told us about 70% of the local population have received their first dose. Five pop-up clinics in Leicester are open until Sunday. Those over 18 who are in multi-generational houses, or who are carers for vulnerable people can turn up and get vaccinated. Drop-in centres: Coleman Neighbourhood Centre De Montfort Hall Eyres Monsell Community Centre Hamilton Library Tudor Community Centre Opening hours are typically 12:00 until 21:00 but people have been advised to check.
