Pony almost dies after being fed roast dinner

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

A five-year-old Shetland pony in Wimborne nearly died after being fed a roast dinner. Hamish was unable to move and required surgery. He is yet to make a full recovery but his owner Gail Hunter-Warburton says he is on the mend. Gail is now calling for the introduction of 'Hamish's Law' and the #StopFeedingOurHorses campaign to make feeding horses/ponies and livestock a specific criminal offence. She spoke to BBC Radio Solent's Dorset Breakfast Show presenter, Steve Harris.
