Breakfast on BBC Radio Newcastle

Available for over a year

Founder of the Great North Run Sir Brendan Foster says this year's event may not happen because organisers can't get insurance. A record 60,000 people have applied to take part in this year's run - the 40th anniversary of the half marathon. He's calling on the government to step in and help.
