Steve Harris

Available for over a year

Since 1956, the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme has helped youngsters gain self-esteem through a range of physical and community challenges. Back in 2019, 7,300 young people across Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight started their award, with 4,000 completing the challenge. Patricia Walker is the Duke of Edinburgh Award Manager at Dorset Council, and told BBC Radio Solent's Dorset Breakfast presenter Steve Harris about what it can do for young people.
