Amazing Evelyn battles Brugada syndrome

Breakfast on BBC Radio Leicester

Available for over a year

Emma and John Anderton from Leicester were left ‘terrified’ after their daughter Evelyn became seriously unwell. Rushed off to hospital, the almost two-year-old, ended up being diagnosed with a condition called Brugada syndrome. It affects the electrical signals in the heart. Now Evelyn has had a defibrillator fitted and will be on lifelong medication. Emma and John are now raising money to fund more research to help people with heart conditions. BBC Radio Leicester’s Ady Dayman caught up with Emma and John.
