Dorset 'probably the most dog unfriendly place in England'

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

Denise Nuttall is a dog behaviourist from Ferndown. She's critical of new public space protection orders (PSPOs) brought in across the county this year which restrict where dogs can be walked off-lead. Councillor Jill Haynes, from Dorset Council, says: "The dog related PSPO has been put in place following an extensive consultation. "The order brings together all the former district and borough council areas and makes it easier for people to follow the rules... and it will be reviewed in three years time." But Denise says the PSPOs are only part of the problem and would advise dog-owners looking to holiday with their pooch to look elsewhere.
