Antony Gormley sculpture for Wells Cathedral

A new work by the artist will be exhibited on the west front of the cathedral. The slightly larger than life iron sculpture will stand in an empty niche alongside angels, kings and bishops. Sir Antony Gormley says it “attempts to invoke the feeling of being isolated and exposed on this corner of a Gothic masterpiece.” Reverend Canon Dr Rob James tells Claire Carter he expects it to attract a lot of people to Wells.
