Millions of people around the world are affected by long Covid, which is characterised by a growing list of symptoms. Now UK scientists have launched four major studies into what long Covid is, what causes it and how best to treat patients. Prof Nishi Chaturvedi at University College London and Dr Shamil Haroon at the University of Birmingham are leading on two of them. They describe some of the symptoms of long Covid and discuss who may be at most risk.
