Leicester Comedy Festival online shows attract worldwide audience

The Leicester Comedy Festival came to a close at the weekend following 18 days of online shows. And it attracted a huge new audience as a result of the festival being held online. 86% of its audience were new to the festival! Despite that, acts still included the likes of Tom Allen, Zoe Lyons and Daliso Chaponda. The festival sold more than 20,000 tickets and was watched by people all over the world, including Australia, the US and Cyprus! So how did it all go? BBC Radio Leicester's Jimmy Carpenter spoke to Geoff Rowe, the festival's founder and director.
