Experts in Leicester involved in recruitment of next cohort of space explorers

Breakfast on BBC Radio Leicester

Available for over a year

Experts in Leicester are involved in the recruitment of the next cohort of space explorers. The European Space Agency will be accepting applications in March to fill four-to-six vacancies in its astro corps but it wants this draft process to be as inclusive as possible. You'll need a master's degree or higher or be qualified as an experimental test pilot and you’ll face years of mental and physical training. BBC Radio Leicester's Jimmy Carpenter spoke to Anu Ojha from the National Space Centre who is part of the recruitment team and says the sky's the limit for successful candidates.
