Rachmaninov’s Tebe Poem is actually a liturgical hymn of praise to be sung at the end of the day, but contains all the composer’s rich romantic harmonic style. There is a gentle soprano melody which soars about the choral sound, giving a rich texture to the sound. Composer: Sergei Rachmaninov Performers: BBC Singers Conductor: Owain Park Recording date: 5 September 2019 Broadcast date: 9 June 2020
