Winterwatch: Rutland Water's bait balls

If you were watching BBC’s prime time nature show Winterwatch last Thursday you may have spotted some footage of a fishy phenomenon at Rutland Water. Cameras were able to get to the deepest part of the reservoir to capture a dramatic sight of millions of small fish or bait balls forming a massive shoal. It was the handy work of wildlife photographer Jack Perks.
