Serbia at the top of vaccine roll-out in Europe

Weekend

Available for over a year

As Europe hit crises point on vaccine delivery, one small country outside the EU - Serbia - recorded the second fastest COVID-19 vaccine roll-out in Europe - at 4.6 doses per one hundred people – just behind the United Kingdom but ahead of the EU’s largest nations. Belgrade started its mass vaccination campaign only last week after it received a million doses of China' s Sinopharm vaccine. Weekend's Celia Hatton has been speaking to Serbia's Health Minister, Zlatibor Lonchar, the first person to receive the vaccine in his country.
