Breakfast on BBC Radio Leicester

Available for over a year

There are concerns that the number of people needing hospital treatment for coronavirus will continue to rise over the coming days. That's despite the number of new Covid-19 infections across the UK starting to level off. So what's it like for doctors and nurses working on the frontline? BBC Radio Leicester’s Jimmy Carpenter spoke to Professor Sanjay Agrawal, a respiratory consultant - and Kirstie Hill, an intensive care nurse - who work for Leicester's hospitals. They've been treating the most seriously ill Covid patients over the past few months.
