Seal pup rescued by RSPCA and Coastguard volunteers at Portland Bill

An injured seal pup was rescued from a beach near Portland Bill at teatime on Sunday 3rd January. RSPCA officers were assisted by up to a dozen Portland Coastguard Rescue Team volunteers. The seal has been transferred to a specialist wildlife centre at West Hatch RSPCA near Taunton. BBC Radio Solent reporter Laurence Herdman spoke with RSPCA officer Joe Blackburn
