Staff from Leicester's hospitals perform in 100-strong NHS choir

Breakfast on BBC Radio Leicester

Available for over a year

A choir of NHS intensive care frontline heroes are hoping to clinch the Christmas number one spot with their rendition of The Police's Every Breath You Take. The Liberty Singers' - made up of ICU staff from across the country, including from our Leicestershire hospitals - cover version contains new moving lyrics 'We Watch Over You'. And it's all for a good cause. ICU consultant Professor Jonathan Thompson and Julia Trinder-Oxley, ICU Pharmacist are part of the choir and they told BBC Radio Leicester where the idea came from.
