Mobile zoo responsible for over 200 animals struggling to cope in Covid-19 crisis

Afternoons on BBC Radio Leicester

Available for over a year

If you're an animal lover, you'll know how expensive it can be to own a pet. But what if of instead of just one or two, you are responsible for over 200 animals? That's the case for Lee and Amanda Richardson who run The Party Animals in Desford. They run a mobile zoo that visits children's parties, care homes and even hospital wards hoping to bring a smile. But during the pandemic they've had to put an end to all of that, which has led to financial difficulty. Now they're asking the community to help save their future. Lee told BBC Radio Leicester's Ady Dayman how the business got started.
