Wareham Bears collection needs new home

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

The Wareham Bears need a new home. For 40 years these toy bears have been drawing crowds; first to an exhibition in Church Street in Wareham where they were displayed by their owner Mary Hildesle, and then to Blue Pool in Furzebrook. But with the death of Blue Pool owner, Jennifer Barnard, a couple of months ago throwing the future of that site into doubt, it looks like they'll be on the move again soon. Philip Daubeny, Chair of Wareham and District Development Trust who helped to save the bears the first time around, spoke to BBC Radio Solent's Steve Harris.
