John Bernard is a Spoken Word Artist & Rapper based in Coventry whose work examines issues of social commentary, youth empowerment, faith and purpose. He was recently selected as a finalist on 1Xtra and Asian Network's BBC Words First programme. His poem 'Loaded Handgun' is his interpretation of the word 'protest' and was written for Black History Month.
