£10m of work: Apprenticeships

Mid-morning on BBC CWR

Available for over a year

Young people across Coventry and Warwickshire have been the hardest hit when it comes to finding work. That's because many 16 to 24 year olds work in the retail and hospitality sectors which has been massively impacted by the pandemic. They are also now competing directly with older workers who have recently been made redundant as they have more skills and experience. Vic talks to Phil who is doing an apprentice degree and Ruth Exelby is Head of Skills at PET XI training
