Life with adult ADHD: A misunderstood condition?

Live Wires

Available for over a year

Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is primarily represented in the public consciousness by the image of a young boy, bouncing off the walls, uncontrollable... but that is by no means the full story. Adult ADHD, particularly in women, is quiet, completely misunderstood and therefore very difficult for people to talk about. In order to learn more, 5 Live’s Michelle Ackerley speaks to Dr Helen Read, a consultant psychiatrist and ADHD specialist, YouTuber Jessica McCabe and Victoria Jones: all three have ADHD themselves and share their understanding and experiences.
