Are you comfortable with nudity?

Woman's Hour

Available for over a year

What are the pros and cons of being naked in front of your children? Rosie Haine is a writer and illustrator whose new book is called “It Isn’t Rude to be Nude”. It is aimed at playfully demystifying the effects of growing up, experiencing puberty, and getting older, and to inspire self-confidence in children about their bodies. But some parents still feel uncomfortable about their children seeing them naked. So what are the psychological effects of nudity and how should parents navigate and inform their children about it? Jenni is joined by Rosie Haine and Dr Keon West, a psychologist who has been researching nudity at Goldsmiths, University of London.
