Belarus: "The violence and torture has never been so hard"

In Belarus, President Alexander Lukashenko is under increasing pressure to resign after huge crowds filled the streets of the capital Minsk on Sunday. It was the biggest protest yet against his 26 years of rule. At a separate rally of his supporters, he once again defied calls to quit, claiming the nation is under threat from foreign forces. Nina, a feminist activist, has been out on the streets protesting for a week. She was among the first group of women who went out in white to form solidarity chains of women. She told Newsday about the protests on Sunday and the road ahead.
