This week's Featured Artist is Tottenham-born MC Oscar #Worldpeace, whose powerful production and conscious lyricism has marked him out as an impressive rising talent. With a distinctly London sound, his music deals with everything from police profiling to his beloved family. Having caught the attention of The Streets' Mike Skinner back in 2016, Oscar has collaborated with artists including Etta Bond, BenjiFlow and Ragz Originale, and earned support from the likes of Annie Mac, DJ Target, Gilles Peterson and Mary Anne Hobbs. Oscar first uploaded his single 'Mmm ft. Ragz Originale & BenjiFlow' to BBC Music Introducing back in April and instantly caught our attention with its gritty production and melodic rapping. Following it up with 'Shine', taken from his debut album 'Sporadic', Oscar demonstrates his versatility as an artist as he plays with softer, more electronic-tinged production.
