Race has been hot topic, but growing up it was rare to see people who looked like Aminata on TV, films and certainly not in cartoons, who could have helped inform views. CBeebies recently commissioned the first Black British Animated series and one of the voices on the show, Jared, played by Ashley Joseph joined Aminata on the show. Julie Walters Nisbett, a local mum and teacher also joined the conversation.
