Horn Concerto No. 3 in E flat major, K 447

Experience Classical

Available for over a year

Mozart wrote four concertos for his horn-playing friend Joseph Leutgeb. Leutgeb was past his best but Mozart made up for his friend's limitations by composing a work that is gently playful. The lullaby-like slow section is the composition's highpoint. Composer: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Performers: BBC Symphony Orchestra Performer: Alec Frank-Gemmill (Horn) Conductor: Michael Seal Recording date: 08 May 2015 Date of broadcast: 17 July 2015
