Milstein was born in Argentina but emigrated to Britain in 1976. Her compositions are influenced by not only split identities but for whom they're written. Whether its for the BBC Singers or - like here - the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, she writes with characteristics of - as she says of the work - "colour and embellishment".
