Dorset swimmer Jay Lelliot wants public pools to re-open as part of lockdown lift

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

Things are constantly changing, you can visit the shops and soon you'll be able to go the pubs, restuarants and the cinema - but you still won't be able to go for a swim in your local pool. Swimmers, lead by Olympic gold medalist Adam Peaty, are now calling on the government to amend its decision to keep pools closed. The #OpenOurPools campaign has been gathering pace on social media over the last 48 hours. And this morning on the Dorset Breakfast show, Steve Harris spoke to British swimmer Jay Lelliott. He's from Portland and has been back in training, but told Steve his thoughts why and how public pools could re-open.
