Experience Classical

Available for over a year

Bernstein's 'Chichester Psalms; is dense and jazzy but also accessible and serene. Many find it incredibly difficult to perform, with wide vocal ranges, rhythmic complexity, and difficult intervals between the vocal parts. The work famously features a haunting solo voice singing a setting of the Lord's Prayer in Hebrew against a harp accompaniment. Composer: Leonard Bernstein Performers: BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra Performers: National Youth Choir of Scotland Conductor: Martyn Brabbins Recording date: 21 April 2006 Date of broadcast: 07 December 2006
