After her death in 1953, Florence Price's music faded from public attention but in 2009 a large collection of her manuscripts were discovered which has helped to regain her popularity in recent years. This arrangement of 'Heav’n bound Soldier' weaves the traditions of European classical with the African-American spiritual and creates a heartfelt, timeless melody.
