Weymouth resident's lockdown gardening digs up unexploded WW2 bomb

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

A woman dug up an unexploded World War Two bomb in her garden this weekend. Lulu Cirillo, was gardening whilst in lockdown, when her spade struck the explosive. It didn't detonate. Lulu threw it across the lawn for her dog and took it inside to clean it with a pan scourer, before realising what it was. Thankfully, some people on social media encouraged her to call the emergency services. She's told her story to BBC Radio Solent's Steve Harris.
