Generally regarded as Wales' most notable female composer, Grace Williams' best-loved composition is the Fantasia on Welsh Nursery Tunes. The work presents a skilful and beautiful arrangement of several traditional songs, with livelier numbers framing slower and emotional music. It has remained popular with successive generations of professional and youth musicians.
