On the 2nd March 1882, an event in Windsor nearly changed the course of history forever when a man called Roderick Maclean attempted to assassinate Queen Victoria. Maclean's shot narrowly missed but went on to make him an infamous historical figure. A new exhibition by the Windsor and Royal Berkshire Museum though questions Maclean's true motives and tells the untold story behind the day Queen Victoria was nearly killed in Windsor.
