Nasa test to deflect an asteroid

Nasa’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test mission will target a near-Earth asteroid in 2022. Didymos and its target moonlet Didymoon are not on course for collision, but this is a test of technologies for preventing an impact of Earth by a hazardous asteroid.
