Restorative justice: Why I met my rapist face to face

Live Wires
Contains scenes of a sexual nature, graphic violent scenes and scenes which some viewers may find upsetting.

Available for over a year

When Ailbhe Griffith was 21 years old she was brutally beaten and raped two minutes from her own doorstep, by an attacker who had followed her home from work. Nine years later she sat across a table and faced her attacker, in a meeting she had fought to make happen. She has since gone on to play herself in a film called 'The Meeting'. Ailbhe tells 5 Live's Sarah Brett about her experience, and explains why she found the restorative justice process incredibly healing and empowering.
