Leicestershire, the only county not to have its own flag

Martin Ballard

Available for over a year

Did you know that Leicestershire is now the only one of 39 historic counties in England not to have its own flag? We want to close that gap in 2020 and that’s why we will shortly be launching a competition to design a flag for the county. The Communities Vexillologist (the study of the history, symbolism and usage of flags), at The Flag Institute Philip Tibbetts flagged the news to Martin Ballard.
