At midnight, abortion was decriminalised and the ban on same-sex marriage was lifted to allow gay men and women to legally marry early next year. Around 200 activists who have long campaigned for change gathered in Guildhall Square in Derry on Monday evening and our reporter, Una Kelly, was there.
