Running a marathon in North Korea

Newsday

Available for over a year

As a Team GB snowboarder, Aimee Fuller usually lives in a world of half-pipes, salopettes and backside 360s. But in April of this year she put herself through a very different sporting challenge in one of the world's most secretive countries. The two-time Winter Olympian ran her first ever marathon - in Pyongyang. Aimee made a documentary for the Olympic Channel called ‘Running in North Korea’ about what she learnt from competing in of one of the most isolated countries in the world. She says sport plays a huge part in the lives of many in North Korea… (Photo: Aimee Fuller and a group of Korean athletes Credit: Aimee Fuller)
