Steve Harris

Available for over a year

Operation Market Garden was a plan to drop thousands of troops from the air, behind enemy lines in the Netherlands. The operation began 75 years ago today. But it didn't go according to plan. The story was turned into a film boasting a stellar cast including Dirk Bogarde, James Cann, Michael Caine, Robert Redford and Sean Connery. Author Christopher Jary who is also Trustee at the Keep Museum in Dorchester told us the story and its significance.
