Imtiaz Dharker reads her own poem, which was specially commissioned for the BBC Radio 3 Breakfast Carol Competition 2019. Amateur composers around the country have been challenged to set the text of this poem to music. The competition opens on 2 September 2019, and the closing date for entries is 23:59 on 5 November 2019. There will be a public vote for the winner in December 2019.
