Dorset project bucking trend of declining wildflower meadows

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

There's been a dramatic decline of wildflower meadows over the last seventy years but one Dorset project is bucking the trend. A community group has turned an unused field back to its traditional state and is selling the seeds it harvests to help grow wild flowers on roadside verges across the county. Cathy Harvey from the Allington Hillbillies spoke to Steve Harris on BBC Radio Solent.
