Hidden away along a shaded path in Hampstead Heath is one of London’s most peaceful spots. Each year, thousands of swimmers flock to Hampstead Ladies’ Pond for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and a dip in the icy waters. Now, a group of regular swimmers have written a collection of essays reflecting on their experiences at the Pond.
