Britain’s domestic abuse charities have issued a joint statement that bystanders must be supported to take action when they fear domestic abuse. This follows the media coverage and reporting of an incident whereby the police were called to the flat shared by Conservative Party leadership candidate Boris Johnson MP and his partner Carrie Symonds.
