Woman's Hour

Available for over a year

Charity Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust says many women don't know that treatments for abnormal smear tests can have side effects, and that some women experience bleeding, pain, and even lose interest in sex or miscarry. They say that 1 in 5 women researched said that no-one discussed the side effects with them. Jane Garvey discussed the findings on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour with Adeola Olaitan, a Consultant Gynaecologist Oncologist at University College London Hospitals.
