Bitesize Study Support

Available for over a year

Now you know what stress is and how to identify the warning signs from our first episode, next we’re bringing you lots of tips and techniques to help you deal with stress and feelings of worry around your exams. Dr. Radha is joined by Dr. Alex George and exam survivor James to talk about what helped keep them calm during their exams. James experienced difficulty engaging in his studies and found himself being distracted and led by his peers. He was eventually diagnosed with ADHD. James’ top tips include working for short periods of time and making sure you have time off to relax and reward yourself. He also believes you should focus on the revision techniques that work for you and not just following what your friends are doing. Danny Penman, an expert in mindfulness techniques, delivers our 90 second masterclass to explain what mindfulness is and how it can help you during your exam revision. If you think mindfulness is all about sitting there in silence listening to the sound of panpipes - think again! Our exam survivor Beattie explains how football kick-ups helped her practice mindfulness and reduced stress during her exams.
