Woman's Hour

Available for over a year

The England’s women World Cup kit will now be designed by Nike. Nike has also announced that they are sponsoring 14 national kits in the tournament in France this summer. Adidas have also come on board and say, for the first time, all athletes on the winning 2019 World Cup team will receive the same performance bonus pay out as their male peers. Woman’s Hour’s Jenni Murray was joined by Sunday Times sports journalist Rebecca Myers to discuss the significance of such big brands getting involved in the game and to find out what it tells us about the state of the sport.
