Grandmother finds out real dad is an American soldier

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

It wasn't until November 1998 that Sheila Loyd first found out about her real dad Angelo. Her mum had kept it secret all that time - mainly because of the stigma attached to a child being born out of wedlock. Sheila's step-dad Douglas Hollins knew about the real dad, but he'd been sword to secrecy by Sheila's mum, Eileen - Sheila actually found out through her aunt. Eight years later, at 11 o'clock, on 11th November 2006 Sheila received documents from the Public Records Office in America, confirming the military history of her biological father, Corporal Angelo Decicco who died in 192.
